#219: Mr. Ms. & The Infusions

Stubhy Pandav of Lucky Boys Confusion returns to Pop-Punk & Pizza! This time we were able to sit down in person at Village Inn Pizzeria in Skokie, IL to discuss his new solo project, Mr. Ms. & The Infusions. He just released a new song called, “Sheeple (Enjoy The Show)”. Listen to it now on all streaming platforms.

Thanks for another great night, Stubhy!

#218: The Methadones

It’s been 15 years since The Methadones released their beloved pop punk classic album, This Won’t Hurt. To celebrate, Red Scare Industries has released the record on vinyl for the first time. This past June, I was able to bring Connie’s Pizza to Dan, Pete, Simon, and Mike before their performance at T1 Fest at Reggies in Chicago. We had a blast talking the re-release of This Won’t Hurt and whether their is a difference between melodic punk and pop punk. Shoutout to Katie Hovland for setting up the conversation!

#216: OSLO

Tj Horansky of Chicago’s Sleep On It, is reintroducing himself to the world as indie/emo artist, OSLO. He just released his debut album, Great Places, under the OSLO name last week. TJ was kind of enough to invite me into his home to have some Rosati’s Pizza and talk about the new record.

#215: The Aquadolls

This is a monumental episode of Pop-Punk & Pizza! Why you ask? Because we had vegan pizza for the very first time! The Aquadolls from southern California are all about rockin’ the vegan lifestyle. So, I made sure to order an all vegan pan pizza from Kitchen 17 in Chicago. It was incredibly tasty and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. This was recorded before The Aquadolls show at Beat Kitchen in Chicago on Sunday, April 3rd. You can catch them on tour this summer with Incubus and Sublime with Rome July 24th through September 3rd! Get your tickets at the-aquadolls.com/tour

This episode of Pop-Punk & Pizza is sponsored by Austrian pop punk band, Here For A Reason, and their new album, Blank Slate, available now on all streaming platforms.

#213: The Dollyrots

Several Pop-Punk & Pizza listeners have requested The Dollyrots to be guests on the show over the years. It’s about time we made it happen for you! Kelly Ogden and Luis Cabezas were able to get their favorite pizza place in Tampa, FL, Lee’s Grocery, to open up early just for this episode recording. I chose to have one of my local favorites as well, Chicago Dough Company, in Bourbonnais, IL.

It was so much fun chowing down on delicious pizza while talking about their latest release, “Down The Rabbit Hole”, which is out now through Wicked Cool Records. The Dollyrots are also currently on tour in the United Kingdom with good friends Bowling For Soup and LIT through April 23rd. Click here for dates!

#211: Peter James – Manic Kat Records

How Peter James went from playing multiple Vans Warped Tours in Reflective Insight to starting Manic Kat Records in 2014. You might be familiar with some of the label’s artists like Neverlyn and Right On, Kid. We’ve played songs from both of those bands on Pop-Punk & Pizza. There are some pretty cool things happening at Manic Kat right now. Including the launch of their own mobile app and streaming service, PunkHub Live! Thanks for your time, Pete!

Much Love,

Jacques LaMore
