#205: Bacon Is My Podcast

I was recently invited to be a guest on Bacon Is My Podcast. It’s a weekly show that asks “What’s Your Bacon?” that extra passion in your life that makes everything in it better. I had such a great time with the hosts, Mike and Jimmy G, that I wanted to return the favor and have them as guests on Pop-Punk & Pizza. We talked about everything from how Bacon Is My Podcast started to how we felt about When We Were Young Festival. What was also fun about this episode is that I shipped them Lou Malnati’s Pizza to eat during our chat because they live in Long Island, NY. Mike and Jimmy returned the favor by shipping New York Style Pizza to me from, Nicoletta Pizzeria.

By the way, my appearance on the Bacon Is My Podcast has not been released yet. It will be up later this month. Please give their podcast a listen in the meantime though at baconismypodcast.com or wherever podcasts are found!

Much Love,

Jacques LaMore

#204: Danny Freeman & Jaret Reddick of Music Networking 101

My guests on this episode of Pop-Punk & Pizza Podcast have been on the show before but appeared on different episodes, a few years apart. The first is, Danny Freeman, the guitarist of United Kingdom pop punk band, A Few Too Many. The second is, Jaret Reddick, a legend in the pop punk scene who has been fronting Bowling For Soup for almost 30 years now. You put these two hard working guys together, and they become, Music Networking 101, a monthly music industry workshop featuring well known special guests and keynote speakers. We dive deep into topics such as marketing your band and how to run social media as a creative person. It’s always a honor to have both Danny and Jaret on the show. Thanks for stopping by again!

Much Love,

Jacques LaMore

P.S. Have you bought your tickets for this year’s Snüzfest in Chicago yet?

Jacques LaMore Reads The Polar Express

I want to take this time to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Pop-Punk & Pizza Podcast and LaMore Media L.L.C. in 2021. I’d like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Growing up, one of my favorite Christmas books to read was The Polar Express. Now, the tradition continues with my son who is even more obsessed with it than I was. I know several people who listen to LaMore Media podcasts also have children. So my gift to you and your family this Christmas is to read aloud The Polar Express to you.

#201: Benjamin Harper talks 20 Years of Yellowcard‘s ”One For The Kids”

The big wave of Yellowcard’s mainstream debut album Ocean Avenue all started with their previous album, One For The Kids. Recorded and released in 2001 through Lobster Records, One For The Kids quickly helped Yellowcard land a major label contract with Capital Records in 2002. Ocean Avenue would take the world by storm just one year later in 2003. Founding member, Benjamin Harper, joins us on this episode of Pop-Punk & Pizza Podcast to talk about how Lobster Records has remixed and remastered One For The Kids to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary. It’s available on all streaming platforms this Friday, December 17th, 2021. You can pre-order a vinyl copy here.
